SSC OTR update:

SSC Official Notice regarding OTR 


The recent update is that Aadhaar is mandatory for SSC Exams, and the new OTR process for that will begin from 02/06/2025. the one-time registration process with Aadhaar will start from the mentioned date.

 Now, the OTR for editing and correction is going on till 30/05/2025. In this process, you need to do the one-time registration process and must add your Aadhaar Details, and those who have previously done OTR, just edit your details if it is required, that means your address, name, parent's name, Aadhaar details, etc.  

For editing and correction, just visit the SSC Official site, log in with your details such as registration number and password and click on edit your details and after editting, click on the save buton.

How to do  OTR for the first time on the SSC Website:



Steps to complete the SSC OTR for the first time  

Follow the given steps:

  1.  Visit the Official SSC i,e. Staff Selection Commission website:  https://ssc.gov.in
  2. . Initiate New Registration:


On the homepage, look for the "Login / Register" option, usually in the top-right corner.

Click on the "Register Now" option to begin the OTR process.

3. Part I of Registration, Fill in Basic Details: 

The form will have multiple sections. Start with "Basic Details."


  • Aadhaar Number: You will be required to provide your Aadhaar Number.
  • Name: Enter your full name exactly as it appears on your Class 10 (Matriculation) Certificate. You'll need to enter it twice for verification.
  • Father's Name: Enter your father's name exactly as per your Class 10 Certificate.
  • Mother's Name: Enter your mother's name exactly as per your Class 10 Certificate.
  • Date of Birth: Enter your date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format, matching your Class 10 Certificate.
  • Gender: Select your gender.
  •  Matriculation i.e, 10th Class Examination Details, such as : 

  • Board Name
  • Roll Number
  • Year of Passing


Identity Details: If you don't have an Aadhaar Number,but it becomes mandatory from 02/06/2025 , you might have other options like Voter ID, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, School/College ID, or Employer ID.

Mobile Number: Provide an active mobile number. It will be verified via OTP.

Email ID: Provide a valid and accessible email ID. 

The Email id will also be verified via OTP.

4. Set Your Password and Security Questions:


  • After varification of your mobile number and email, you will be prompted to create a strong password.
  • It should be a minimum of 8 characters, The password must be strong.
  • It must include at least one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one numeric digit, and one special character (e.g., @, #, $, etc.).
  • You will also need to set two security questions and their answers. These will help you recover your password if you forget it.


5. Part II of Registration, Fill in Additional Details and Contact Information:

  • This section generally  includes:
  • Category: such as : General, EWS, OBC, SC, ST.
  • Nationality
  • Permanent Address: House Number, Street/Locality, City/Village, Post Office, District, State/UT, Pin Code. Ensure accuracy.
  • Current Residential Address: If different from permanent address.
  • Disability Details (if applicable): If you are a Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), you'll need to select the type of disability, mention the percentage, and provide the certificate number.
  • Highest Educational Qualification: Select your highest qualification such as : 10th, 12th, Diploma, Graduation, Post-Graduation, etc.

6. Upload Your Live Photograph and Signature:

  • Photograph:

 Note : Live Photo is mandetory in recent updates, where you might to capture your photo using a webcam/device during the application. Always refer to the latest official notification for the most current requirements.


  • Signature:


  • Upload a clear scanned image of your signature on white paper with a blue or black ball  pen.
  • Format: JPEG.
  • Size: 10 KB to 20 KB.
  • Dimensions: Approximately 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height).
  •  Preview and Final Submission:
  • Before final submission, carefully review all the details you have entered in the OTR form, As this is your last chance to make corrections.
  • Once you are sure all information is accurate, click on the "Final Submit" button.
